Commissioned in November 2019, this plant consists of six (06) 18V50 engines and one (01) 20V32 reciprocating Wartsila engine, all operating on Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO). The larger size machines enables the operation of the power plant at high efficiency levels and has enabled the expansion in the operational capacity of Lakdhanavi in Bangladesh.

Lakdhanavi is currently undertaking the Operations and Maintenance activities of the power plant under the long term O&M Contract signed upto the PPA expiry in November 2034.
